Midwest Machine 03 – 14U PGF Battle of the Borders Champions!

Midwest Machine 03 went 5-0 in 14U bracket play at the PGF Showcase “Battle of the Borders” on June 15-17, 2018.  It was quite the Father’s Day run for the softball dads in the crowd. For the 5 games, offense was aplenty as the team outscored the competition 51-10 and the defense was solid with only a single error committed. Great showing to take the 14U championship from the 20 team field featuring teams from Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Pitcher Needed – 16U

Due to player injuries, the Midwest Machine 16U has an immediate need for a pitcher to complete its summer season. Interested players/parents please contact Craig Ross at craigr@mmfastpitch.com.

(03MM) Maddie Kapsimalis Gives MVP Effort Towards Fight Against Diabetes

Maddie K. (03MM) has had type 1 diabetes for over seven years, and every year participates in the JDRF One Walk at Independence Grove in Libertyville to raise money and awareness for type 1 diabetes. This year’s walk took place this past Sunday (October 1st). As the co-captain of team, Titan Nation, Maddie helped raise over $10,000 just this year for JDRF.  Since starting the walk, Maddie’s teams have raised almost $50,000.

Midwest Machine and her family are very proud of how hard she works to manage her diabetes while playing multiple sports, as well as her efforts to support others who have this disease.

Huge shout out to Maddie K. for getting it done on the field and off the field!!!
